• Online donations are processed through Giving Loop.
Giving Loop takes every precaution to protect donor information. When donors submit sensitive information via the Giving Loop web site, the information is protected both online and off-line. When a form asks donors to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number or address), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL. While on a secure page, such as a donation form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked. While Giving Loop uses SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, they also do everything in their power to protect donor information off-line. All donor information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in their offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (their customer service team) are granted access to personally identifiable information. .
• Online product purchases are processed through Paypal.
Paypal will store and process your personal information generated by a purchase on our site, on their computers in the US, and protect it by maintaining physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in compliance with applicable US federal and state regulations. They use computer safeguards such as firewalls and data encryption, enforce physical access controls to their buildings and files, and authorize access to personal information only for those employees who require it to fulfill their job responsibilities.
